Medical Director for Senior Care

About the Role:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director for Senior Care to join our team at Abode Care Partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and private homes.
- Collaborate with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities, as needed.
- Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
- Participate in company frontline and backup call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition and to prevent avoidable hospital transfers.
- Focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance, productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, and decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and a Doctor of Medicine.
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine and active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
