About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our Central Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontamination and Cleaning of Reusable Medical Devices: Receive, sort, and decontaminate surgical/clinic items and instrumentation; inspect and package single instruments and instrument kits.
  • Assembly and Packaging of Reusable Medical Devices: Inspect and assemble equipment, instruments, scopes, and instrument sets; document all work performed using instrument tracking software.
  • Sterilization and High-Level Disinfection of Reusable Medical Devices: Interpret package labeling to select appropriate sterilization method and cycle; load sterilizer as appropriate to ensure cycle completion.
  • Inventory Management and Case Cart Build: Utilize patient-specific pick lists to accurately gather surgical instruments and disposable supplies; document case cart build process in SPM.
Requirements
  • Certifications: CRCST or CBSPD
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; certificate in Sterile Processing preferred
  • Skills: Excellent organization, operations, people management, and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
