About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our AWS Operations Management (AWSOM) team, you will be responsible for launching a new offering that will drive security, availability, performance, and efficiency improvements to operate AWS Regions globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize operational improvements
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to reduce operational toil
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and efficiency of AWS Regions

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Enterprise Production
  • 3+ years of experience operating in a 24/7 production environment
  • Relevant systems engineering or systems administration experience using Linux, networking, and storage systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 6+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies
  • 3+ years of networking experience
  • 2+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
