Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. As a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children in our Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Pediatric Critical Care or Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Current RN licensure in Tennessee or compact state.
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and EFM certifications required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with pediatric cardiovascular patients.
  • Knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols and procedures.
