Job Summary:

As an ICU Travel Nurse, you'll be responsible for evaluating and monitoring patients in an ICU setting, providing direct care, documenting patient information, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic bedside care, including administering medications and monitoring patient vital signs
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
  • Take samples for lab work and interpret reports
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, such as ventilators and dialysis machines
  • Communicate patient information to family members and healthcare teams
Requirements:
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of patients
