Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Loves Travel Stops & Country Stores. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and performing various sales and customer service duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers
    • Answer questions about products and services
    • Address customer needs and concerns
  • Sales and Merchandising
    • Balancing a cash register and completing customer transactions
    • Offering additional sales opportunities to customers
    • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Ensuring proper food safety conditions of fresh food and deli products
    • Using various methods and technology to maintain food safety
  • Store Maintenance
    • Cleaning the sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps
    • Completing trash runs and maintaining a clean store environment
  • Teamwork and Adaptability
    • Working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing business needs
    • Collaborating with team members to achieve sales and customer service goals

Requirements

  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds
    • Ability to work in various temperatures
  • Education and Experience
    • No experience necessary; we will teach you the skills you need to succeed
