Job Summary

A Lowboy Operator is responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment and materials to various job sites. This role requires the ability to load, unload, and secure equipment to trailers, while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive tractor-trailer units to transport equipment to and from job sites
  • Position chains, straps, and binders to secure loads during transit
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Perform minor emergency roadside repairs as needed
Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL and satisfactory driving record required
  • Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and meet physical demands of the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in construction or similar environment
  • Three to five years of experience as a Truck Driver, preferably for a low-bed hauler
