Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring fleet vehicles are operational and usable for company operations to perform profitable work for all personnel. The Fleet Maintenance Technician will identify potential safety hazards and maintain vehicles according to federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans to improve fleet performance and support company strategic plans.
  • Lead and train new employees as directed by the Fleet and Facility Manager.
  • Perform day-to-day operations on facilities as directed by the Fleet and Facility Manager.
  • Respond to repair requests and perform hands-on repairs and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Coordinate parts runs and maintain sufficient parts inventory.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Perform road service on equipment as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies pertaining to vehicle maintenance and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and 1 year of fleet or vehicle service and repairs experience required; 2 years preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Must be capable of following verbal, written, and document procedures.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to perform simple math operations.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs., stand/walk for duration of work hours.
  • Must pass background and drug test required.
  • Must have current valid driver's license with a good driving history.
