We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse to join our team at Providence Swedish First Hill Campus. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical-surgical oncology unit.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with various medical-surgical oncology diagnoses, including but not limited to, general surgery, OB-GYN, and chemotherapy administration.
- Administer medications, including IV and PO chemotherapy, and manage patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, and participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Perform various medical procedures, including chest tube set-ups, blood/blood product administration, and wound care.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
- Document patient care and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- 2+ years of experience in medical-surgical oncology, with a focus on chemotherapy administration and patient care.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Washington, with a valid WA license status (Active, in Process, or no license).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends.
