Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Trials Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a Clinical Trials Nurse, you will play a critical role in facilitating the accrual of patients to clinical trials, coordinating patient care activities, and conducting studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within a Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model
  • Facilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials
  • Coordinate patient care activities and conduct studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials
  • Educate patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial
  • Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support
  • Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval
  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up
Requirements
  • New York State RN license and BSN
  • Three years clinical Nursing experience
  • Oncology nursing experience preferred
  • Clinical research nursing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • BCLS
