Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public spaces, in accordance with client and guest expectations, as well as HEI Standards of Product and Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee staff of room attendants, house persons, and inspectors, conducting daily and monthly meetings to ensure standards are met and deficiencies are corrected.
  • Interview, hire, train, and recommend performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, resolving problems and providing open communication.
  • Arrange staff work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels based on occupancy and/or current or anticipated projects.
  • Submit payroll records, correcting errors to ensure timely payment and accurate inclusion of purchased rooms, extra cleanup, cots, etc.
  • Maintain and review computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses, as well as inspection scores for housekeepers.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, providing clear direction and ensuring compliance with attendance rules and regular work availability.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a comparable hotel.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, ensuring accomplishment of goals and setting priorities, planning, organizing, and delegating tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
