Key Responsibilities

Finance and Accounting
  • Offer financial expertise to senior leadership and various departments to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, and collections.
  • Analyze key financial indicators, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.
  • Implement internal controls and audits to safeguard assets and ensure timely and accurate transaction recording.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and performance indicators.
  • Provide analytical tools for leadership to assess company projects and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor budget variances and report significant issues to senior management.

Project Accounting
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and billing practices.
  • Assist in project setup and profitability analysis to support effective project management.
  • Advise on project budgeting and billing, addressing any performance-related inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain project accounting formats and oversee the collection of necessary agreements and documentation.

Cash Management
  • Monitor the firm's cash position daily and manage banking relationships to secure competitive credit resources.
  • Regulate firm purchases to maintain financial health.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, preferably in the AEC industry.
  • Proficient in managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Skilled in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Experience in developing internal controls for accurate financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in liaising with external auditors and financial stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations relevant to the AEC industry.
  • Proficient in using integrated ERP systems effectively.
  • Capable of identifying and implementing process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Over 4 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance management role.
