Job Summary

The Autism Behavioral Institute is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Psychological Associate to join our team. As a Licensed Psychological Associate, you will conduct diagnostic evaluations for children who may have autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This position also provides supervision, consultation, and support for our NC Research-Based Behavioral Health Treatment (RB-BHT) program, serving as the Licensed Qualified Autism Service Provider (LQASP) in accordance with NC Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy 8F.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Conduct assessments, analyze and interpret data, and write evaluation reports
  2. Diagnose and provide treatment recommendations
  3. Provide post-evaluation feedback to clients
  4. Coordinate with clinical and intake/admission personnel to ensure timely and appropriate client access to care
  5. Collaborate with BCBAs on the development and oversight of client treatment planning and outcomes
  6. Provide training, supervision, and support for BCBAs or other direct therapy staff
  7. Participate in other administrative and quality improvement initiatives as needed
  8. Adheres to agency's standards for quality, timeliness, and productivity
  9. Completes all evaluations as scheduled by the Intake and Admissions Department
Job Qualifications and Job Evaluation DocumentationEducation/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Current NC licensure
  • Strong working knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of neuro-developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Prior experience in completing evaluations for children with ASD, IDD, and other Neuro-Developmental disorders
  • Training in and competence with tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, DISCO, CARS, or other known evidence-based tools
  • Excellent communication and clinical writing skills
  • Solid organizational and time management skills

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass a drug screening and background checks
  • Travel is required
