Job Summary

Always There Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain Team, you will be responsible for performing purchasing functions and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform purchasing functions to meet business needs, including procurement forecasting, inventory level alignment, and material planning.
  • Develop and maintain reliable forecasts using operational supply chain management (SCM) processes.
  • Manage purchase orders, communicate delivery schedules, and expedite material as needed.
  • Ensure inventory levels are financially feasible and communicate supplier performance problems to the Plant Manager.
  • Work with various departments to perform revenue forecasting, inventory level alignment, and procurement forecasting.
Requirements
  • 3 or more years of experience working in purchasing.
  • Some college-level education.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts and application.
  • MRP/ERP system proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and follow a schedule.
  • Budget management abilities.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPP, CPPM, or CSCP.
