Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Occupational Therapist is to evaluate children and implement treatment plans to help them achieve their full potential. You will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive services, including assessment, treatment, and education to families and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate children to identify their strengths and areas of need, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
  2. Implement treatment programs to help children develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities and achieve their goals.
  3. Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  4. Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  6. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  2. Current registration and licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Wisconsin or eligibility for licensure.
  3. Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred.
  4. Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification preferred but not required.
  5. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
  6. Physical ability to lift and transfer children (minimum of 25 lbs.).
  7. Ability to participate in handling and floor activities with children.
  8. Working knowledge of assessment tools used in the evaluation of infants and children.
  9. Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet).
  10. Valid Wisconsin driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance.
