Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to lead our land surveying team in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Field work associated with land surveying, including boundary, topographic, tree, and channel surveys.
  • Assisting with survey computations and data collection as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of survey experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying is preferred.
  • Able to operate Topcon Total Stations, Leica GPS, static, RTK, RTN.
  • Familiarity with NCDOT Electronic Field Book (EFB) data collection.
  • Ability to shoot topography.
  • Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions.
  • Familiarity with construction plans and RW maps.
  • Certified Survey Technician, Level II or III (CST) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe.
  • Utility designating experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be reliable.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work out of town, flexible with work area.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, and lift 50 lbs.
