Financial Analyst

KNM Resources is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to assist the controller in Northern, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of related experience, proficiency in Microsoft applications, and Sage Timberline experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply and post incoming cash receipts and maintain accurate files.
• Update and analyze Job Cost and Indirect Budgets and Variance reports.
• Process various accounting reports and maintain vendor control.
• Verify receipt of signed subcontract agreements and code invoices and credit card transactions.
• Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
• Process weekly accounts payable check runs and handle inquiries regarding accounts payable invoices.
• Manage quarterly and annual Fuel Tax Returns, monthly Sales Tax Remittance, and monthly Job Cost and General Ledger Journal Entries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and create an audit trail and documentation of procedures.
• Assist with fiscal year-end audit process and complete various projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Sage Timberline experience preferred.
