Dietitian Specialist

The Dietitian will provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with the Nutrition Services Manager. This role involves identifying patient needs and participating in the development and execution of the Multidisciplinary Care Plan. The Dietitian will compile and evaluate data to prepare Nutritional Assessments and Care Planning in compliance with established Standards of Practice.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients at nutritional risk and provide appropriate nutritional intervention.
- Assist as needed in preparation and distribution of meals.
- Work collaboratively with the direct care team to ensure quality patient care.
- Compile and evaluate data to prepare Nutritional Assessments and Care Planning.
- Participate in the development and execution of the Multidisciplinary Care Plan.
- Minimum: BS in Dietetics plus 1 year internship or equivalent.
- Minimum: NYS Dietetics-Nutrition License.
- Registered with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Minimum: Experience in diet therapy and food service management in a health care facility.
- Required skills: self-motivation, ability to work well with other disciplines, independent thinking, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
