Grain Grader

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a skilled Grain Grader to join our team in flour milling operations. As a key member of our grain handling team, you will be responsible for operating the grain elevator scale room to ensure accurate weighing and record-keeping of inbound and outbound trucks. You will also be responsible for grading grain according to USDA GIPSA-FGIS standards and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Operate grain grading and testing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Weigh, sample, and grade grain according to standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs and complaints.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to food safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on equipment as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and ability to manipulate them for work.
• Excellent data entry and keyboard skills.
• Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

The Grain Grader will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, dusty conditions, and airborne particles. The noise level may require the use of hearing protection. The position requires the ability to work in all weather conditions and at heights.
