Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at White-Wilson Medical Center, P.A. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and administrative duties to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations, tests, and treatments.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments to physicians.
  • Dispense medications as directed and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in scheduling tests, treatments, surgeries, or admissions, ensuring timely patient flow.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, providing excellent customer service.
  • Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions, promoting health education.
  • Formulate and update patient care plans, maintaining accurate records and charts.
  • Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Screen and refer pharmaceutical representatives, adhering to company policies.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of medical coding and stay up-to-date with annual changes and updates.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations, enhancing skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and consistently display a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
  • Perform point-of-care testing and venipuncture, ensuring accurate and safe collection of blood samples.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, preferred.
  • Possession of a State LPN Nurse license.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • IV Certification preferred.

Work Environment:

Our team works in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
