About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize operational issues and drive automation design and scaling requirements
  • Develop and maintain 1P/3P infrastructure and security standards, ensuring systems adhere to these standards
  • Identify and resolve issues, automate and improve repetitive processes, and work closely with the development team to identify operational needs
  • Become intimately familiar with the architecture of our systems, diving deep into code to develop solutions for our customers and services

Requirements
  • 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • Experience with AWS technologies and services or industry certification (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS SysOps Admin)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with business intelligence systems and architecture, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience working in a fast-paced DevOps environment (familiarity with DevOps concepts and lifecycle)
  • Strong Windows/Linux debugging and systems analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues
  • Experience in designing and scaling large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working in critical systems and production on-call environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience with networking fundamentals including hands-on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, etc.
