We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Channel Control Merchants. As a key member of our Distribution Center operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, production machines, and forklifts.
- Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
- Inspect machinery to identify issues that may lead to unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems to maintain expected machine performance.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot simple to complex mechanical issues.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, twist, and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Able to work in hot, cold, dry, and/or wet conditions.
- Able to work around noise.
This is a night shift position, Monday through Friday, 3:30pm-11:30pm. Hourly pay is $16.00 per hour.
