Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

Kleinfelder is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager to join our Atlanta office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading project execution, developing and applying broad knowledge and skills in various natural gas and liquids pipeline infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Prepare pipeline and facility designs, review designs and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and design criteria.
  • Construction and Bid Package Preparation: Develop construction specifications and bid packages.
  • Pipeline Design and Material Selection: Design and select materials for pipeline projects.
  • Alternative and Feasibility Studies: Conduct alternative and feasibility studies for pipeline projects.
  • Status Reporting: Develop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Client Management: Oversee pursuits, designate resources to projects, define client needs, address client concerns, and manage engineering resources within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams, ensuring company quality standards and driving customer value.
  • Client Relationship Building: Nurture and grow client relationships and contracts, including complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Staff Development: Lead, grow, and mentor staff, supporting the achievement of professional career goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Devise new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Project Execution: Manage all phases of project execution, including project organization, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on a program of design and construction management projects, striving for continuous improvement in process development and execution.
  • Communication: Build relationships with technical and client service teams and within client organizations, communicating effectively with internal and external teams of clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certifications: Preferred, Professional Engineer (PE) and PMP.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related pipeline and energy infrastructure experience.
  • Skills: Experienced in project planning activities, with a background in utilizing standard tools and information to make tactical course corrections regarding budgeting, scheduling, and scope changes.
  • Ability: Ability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts internally and externally.
  • Production Design Experience: Production design experience either first-hand or through reviews of work products and independent technical reviews.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's license.
