Position Overview

Genie Healthcare is currently in search of a travel nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for an exciting opportunity.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Specialization: Labor and Delivery
  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts
  • Employment Type: Travel

The Labor and Delivery RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during their labor and delivery process. Candidates must possess the following certifications: ACLS, C-EFM (Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring), STABLE, NRP, and BCLS.

On-call Requirements: The position requires on-call duties, including:

  • 36 hours of on-call in a 6-week period
  • 12 hours of on-call per pay period
  • Weekend and holiday coverage on an alternating basis

Travelers must be prepared to be on-site within 45 minutes of receiving a call. Additionally, candidates should be willing to take on preceptor or charge nurse responsibilities. Please note that a fixed schedule cannot be guaranteed.

Skills and Experience: Candidates should have experience in circulating, fetal heart monitoring, and triage, with a preference for high-risk Labor and Delivery experience. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, and floating to other units may be required. A minimum of 2 years of experience is necessary, and first-time travelers are welcome. Scrubs will be provided.
