We support our Vision statement by working together, keeping focused on our goals, and putting our customers first.Position Summary: Oversee the Logistics Department, collaborating with operations and sales to ensure that the correct new and remanufactured turbochargers are accurately packed and dispatched to customers or BBB Distribution Centers.
Key Responsibilities:1. Lead the Logistics Department team.
2. Efficiently pick, pack, and process outgoing shipments while adhering to safety protocols.
3. Conduct quality inspections of produced items, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate and matches the product, alongside a visual assessment of packaging to prevent damage.
4. Perform cycle counts, inventory checks, and manage material handling of turbochargers, including loading and unloading of trucks. Maintain precise inventory levels of products and packaging materials.
5. Ensure proper labeling and verify that shipments are directed to the correct destinations through visual inspections.
6. Organize and prioritize tasks while managing tight deadlines.
7. Engage in data entry, processing, and reporting to Oracle systems.
Skills & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete tasks.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to meet shipping deadlines.
Work Environment:
Some exposure to challenging conditions such as dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures for brief periods may occur. Employees are required to adhere to safety standards and utilize personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting: 0%, Standing/Walking: 100%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is necessary.
