We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Children's Float Pool at Bronson Methodist Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Children's Float Pool is responsible for managing the care delivery for patients in the hospital throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
- Analyze assessment data to identify patient problems or issues
- Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes
- Implement the identified plan, including administering prescribed medication and treatment
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of expected outcomes
- Associate's degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, must obtain within 8 years of hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan
- BLS competency required by completion of core orientation
- Critical care or Advanced Life Support is required for RN Nurses
This role involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.
Standards of Practice:The Registered Nurse collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, analyzes assessment data to identify patient problems or issues, develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the identified plan, and evaluates progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.
Standards of Professional Performance:The Registered Nurse systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice, evaluates one's own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statues, rules and regulations, and interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
