Position Summary: We are in search of a seasoned and outcome-oriented Production Manager to streamline and supervise our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production activities are efficient, cost-effective, and adhere to quality benchmarks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in guaranteeing timely product delivery to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate workflows to meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Supervise production staff performance.
  • Assess resource requirements including workforce and materials.
  • Identify potential challenges and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor production processes to address issues and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all production operations.
  • Drive productivity improvements through innovative strategies and continuous process enhancements.
  • Estimate production costs and prepare budgets to align with workflow timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Implement health and safety protocols within the plant.
  • Work alongside other managers to set objectives and clarify requirements.
  • Develop long-term operational strategies that align with corporate goals.
  • Mentor and develop the production supervisory team.
  • Establish and uphold acceptable production rates for work centers.
  • Encourage and motivate team members through positive reinforcement.

Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, including 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of performance evaluation and budgeting principles.
  • Experience in reporting key production metrics.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on results.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Plex.
  • Union experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Supervisory Role: This position oversees personnel within the manufacturing department.
