Registered Nurse, IMCU, 36 Hours

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team at Boston Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in our Critical Care unit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Update and manage patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information, utilizing technology to enhance patient care.
- Follow established guidelines and policies, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
- Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one.
- 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) required in certain units.
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred), with the ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities, with the ability to lift, push, and pull equipment as needed.
- Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to learn and utilize new technology.
