About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team at Boston Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in our Critical Care unit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Update and manage patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information, utilizing technology to enhance patient care.
  • Follow established guidelines and policies, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • Active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one.
  • 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) required in certain units.
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred), with the ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities, with the ability to lift, push, and pull equipment as needed.
  • Basic computer proficiency, with the ability to learn and utilize new technology.
