Rigger Trainee

At MEI Rigging & Crating, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clean Room Machinery Mover/Rigger to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of machinery moving, rigging, and clean room protocols.

• Set up, assemble, disassemble, and move microchip and/or semiconductor facility machines/tools
• Work in a highly sensitive environment among the multi-craft team to perform essential functions of the project
• Unload trucks with forklifts, including uncrating, cleaning up, and disposing of crating material
• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in an ISO cleanroom environment
• Ability to learn and operate various tools, including skating tools, air dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts
• Detail and safety-oriented, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and willingness to follow customers' procedures

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• OSHA10 certification preferred (will be provided)
• Able to take direction and closely follow instructions
• Visualize or predict the outcome of the job using deductive and inductive reasoning
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, including hand, power, and pneumatic tools
• Correctly and safely use tools and equipment for proper weight-bearing work
• Read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required
• Familiar with various hand or flag signals, including their use and meaning
• Willing to learn, know, and follow safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE
• Minimum of three (3) years of Clean Room experience required

This is a very physical, hands-on role that requires the ability to perform general physical activities, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials up to 50 pounds. The Clean Room Environment is a well-controlled workspace that is isolated from contaminants, and personal hygiene standards and clean room PPE may be required for large portions of the shift to maintain ISO standards.
