Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at PAE Consulting in Spokane, Washington.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of deliverables and documents, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications. They will also be responsible for engineering application of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of deliverables and documents, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Engineering application of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power.
  • Application of electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems design.
  • Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project team.
  • Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction.
  • Oversee electrical load calculations.
  • Utilize knowledge of other disciplines and direct interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Edit/write specification; provide input into standards.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
  • Provide opinions of probable construction costs.
  • Perform site visits and issues reports.
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' related work experience in the AEC industry/built environment.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
  • Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables.
  • Ability to assemble and run a team.
  • Strong delegation skills.
  • Experience completing projects within a budget and schedule.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and application of the NEC and relevant building and energy codes.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Thorough understanding of AutoCAD/Revit and Easy Power.
What We Offer
  • Hiring Base Salary Range: $73,100 - $97,500 annual.
  • This position is eligible for straight overtime pay.

The base salary is one component of PAE's competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity, and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
