Process Operations Specialist

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Description
As a Chemical Operator, you will play a critical role in our operations team at our CA - Columbia site in Gaston, SC. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the Melt Phase and Solid Stated Polymerization Process in a continuous manufacturing process environment. Your safety mindset and self-driven ownership will ensure a high level of accountability while performing your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor operating parameters by reading gauges, instruments, and meters.
- Collect and submit appropriate samples for analysis.
- Respond to alarms within the operating area.
- Start up and shut down process equipment using written procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related technical field or 2+ years of experience as a chemical operator/handler.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, pressures, and computerized controls systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, listening, and safety practices.
