Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Sheetfed Pressroom Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pressroom, ensuring that all printing projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Motivate Team Members: Direct and lead 10-12 press operators on multiple 40" sheetfed presses.
  • Production Scheduling: Schedule and oversee jobs to ensure orders are produced on time according to client specifications.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Train, hire, and discipline pressroom employees as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance on presses, assist with troubleshooting press issues, and repairs.
  • Purchasing and Inventory: Order pressroom consumable materials and maintain inventories.
  • Vendor Relations: Work closely with vendors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with plant and production managers to stay on schedule, occasionally operate press when someone calls in.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' leadership experience in 40" sheetfed printing operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 7-10 years' experience operating 40" sheetfed presses, excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication and leadership skills, strong mentoring abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Purchasing and Vendor Management: Experience ordering pressroom materials and working with vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Experience using Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Practices a plus.
Benefits and Compensation

The successful candidate can expect a salary range of $90,000 - $100,000, benefits, 401(k) plan, and relocation assistance.
