Job Summary:

This position is responsible for operating audiovisual/television equipment, including Avid and FCP edit systems, camera systems for ENG/EFP, and acting as an independent producer. The incumbent will assist the Broadcasting & Telecommunications department with operations of Media Services & the Television facilities, including assisting students with the operation of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate audiovisual/television equipment, including Avid and FCP edit systems, camera systems for ENG/EFP, and other related equipment.
• Assist the Broadcasting & Telecommunications department with operations of Media Services & the Television facilities, including assisting students with the operation of production equipment.
• Act as an independent producer, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing media productions.

Requirements:

• Two years of education in a related field or equivalent experience in media-related and television fields.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment/TV production equipment is required, and the ability to follow instructions is essential.
• Must be extremely flexible and work well under pressure of deadlines.
• Must be able to work well in an educational environment with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
• Must be extremely flexible with schedule, including evening/weekend hours.
