About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Department Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Operations: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by promoting a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Collaboration: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor, and prioritize tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, and ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Leadership: Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, partner with Management on Associate training needs, and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to train others.
