Job Overview
M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Designer to join our team of experienced engineers. As a key member of our electrical design team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating building power and lighting engineering deliverables for complex construction projects.

As a Senior Electrical Systems Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging electrical construction projects in various sectors, including mission critical, healthcare, industrial, transportation, pharmaceutical, federal, and fortune 500. You will develop detailed designs with limited supervision, coordinate device locations with other trades, and perform analysis of electrical distribution systems.

We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment, where you will have access to industry-standard software and tools, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate and execute detailed design with limited supervision by Senior Engineers.
  • Coordinate device locations with other trades, including interpreting equipment requirements.
  • Perform analysis of electrical distribution systems, including short circuit, overcurrent device coordination, arc flash, cable pull, duct bank heating, etc.
  • Document design work via AutoCAD and REVIT in 2D and 3D platforms.


Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or related discipline from an accredited engineering program, and at least 5+ years of relevant experience in design or commissioning of building power systems.
