Job Title: Delivery Driver

Vomela Commercial is seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to transport printed materials throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares van for daily deliveries by locating products in storage areas and certifying work and locations by matching delivery tickets to jobs.
  • Records all deliveries and pickups using a trip log and prepares deliveries using shrink wrap and/or banding equipment.
  • Loads deliveries into the van according to delivery schedules and locations using a forklift, hand truck, or by hand as appropriate.
  • Checks the van's lights, tires, oil, and cleanliness to comply with company standards.
  • Delivers and/or receives work, using the van, and obtains signatures from clients for deliveries.
  • Updates records and fuel logs.
  • Unloads received materials from the van and delivers them to the appropriate department.
  • Assists others by loading trucks and/or vans and moving materials throughout the plant.
  • Receives additional pick-ups from the Delivery Coordinator via two-way radio.
  • Provides excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years' experience in a driving position.
  • Valid Driver's License (with a clean driving record) and ability to operate a forklift.
  • Knowledge of the Metro area.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lb.
  • Ability to withstand a lot of walking.
  • Must be able to endure heavy lifting (loading and unloading van).
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Springfield, VA.
