Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at The Mental Health Center. As a key member of our community-based vocational counseling team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with mental health and substance use disorders achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Evidence-Based treatment model of supported employment.
  • Support clients with all aspects of employment, including job development, placement, and retention.
  • Attend treatment team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local employers to develop job opportunities for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or education.
  • Experience working in the mental health and substance use fields, with a focus on vocational rehabilitation.
  • Strong networking and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with local employers and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
