Position Overview

The USNA Alumni Association and Foundation is in search of a committed Senior Development Writer to become a vital member of their Donor Engagement & Strategic Partnerships Team. This role is situated in Annapolis, Maryland, and involves the creation of compelling proposals and agreements aimed at garnering philanthropic contributions from alumni, benefactors, and collaborators.

This position is based at the Fluegel Alumni Center, which provides a scenic view of the Naval Academy and the surrounding area.

The organization is dedicated to fostering engagement and philanthropy to support the Naval Academy's mission by connecting with and assisting alumni and the academic community.

The Senior Development Writer will undertake responsibilities such as:

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in development writing, outstanding writing and editing capabilities, strong research skills, knowledge of fundraising principles, excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software.
