Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team at ModMortgage. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage application process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other referral sources to generate new business.
  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and assess borrower eligibility for various mortgage products.
  • Prepare and present loan options to clients, explaining terms, conditions, and the loan process.
  • Ensure compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations and FNMA (Federal National Mortgage Association) guidelines.
  • Utilize financial software to manage loan applications and track progress throughout the approval process.
  • Assist clients in completing necessary documentation for loan origination and escrow processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and loan status updates.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in lending regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mortgage lending or financial sales is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills to perform calculations related to loans and interest rates.
  • Familiarity with TILA regulations, FNMA guidelines, and general banking practices.
  • Proficiency in using financial software for loan processing and analysis.
  • Excellent credit analysis skills to evaluate borrower qualifications effectively.
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately using 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to clients.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
