Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in a K-12 setting. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting students' educational and emotional needs, working collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations of students to identify educational, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs, ensuring that their unique needs are met and their progress is monitored.
- Provide Counseling and Mentoring: Provide counseling and mentoring to students to address academic, emotional, and social issues, promoting their overall well-being and success.
- Collaborate with Educational Teams: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies and interventions to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention plans, ensuring that students receive comprehensive support.
- Crisis Intervention and Support: Conduct crisis intervention and provide support in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on the progress of students, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure their continued growth and success.
- Professional Development: Stay current with developments in the field of school psychology, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology: Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL): Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
- National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Certification: Possess certification by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) or be willing to obtain it.
- Previous Experience: Have previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting, with a strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and a multidisciplinary team.
