Job Summary

The Nurse II - MTSU Clinical Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while utilizing advanced clinical skills and expertise. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, this professional will coordinate and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient well-being and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education programs to enhance knowledge and skills, ensuring up-to-date proficiency in evidence-based practices.
  • Patient Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs, develop targeted care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage complex patient cases, prioritizing timely interventions to optimize outcomes.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Foster open communication, promote teamwork, and contribute to unit goals and performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • Experience: One year of experience in caring for acute and chronically ill patients or equivalent combination of education and experience.
