Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the academic mission of the college.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct preoperative evaluations and assessments to determine the best course of anesthesia for patients.
  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients' vital signs and other indicators of anesthesia's effects.
  • Conduct postoperative follow-up and ensure patients' optimal recovery.
  • Supervise and instruct Registered Nurse Anesthetist (RNA) students in clinical instruction and anesthesia administration.
  • Participate in call coverage with faculty anesthesiologists.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing with a DNP degree preferred.
  • Current nursing license in the state of Ohio.
  • Certificate of Authority to practice in Ohio as a CRNA by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Current certification or recertification as a nurse anesthetist by the NBCRNA.
  • Meets the educational requirements as set forth by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
