">We are seeking a skilled Proficy engineer to lead our global technical team.
This role is responsible for ensuring all production systems run smoothly across 105 globally distributed manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will have expertise in applying sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environments and the P&G codebase.
The successful candidate will specialize in systems (operating systems, storage subsystems, networking), while implementing best practices for availability, reliability, and scalability. They will also implement, configure, and maintain the Proficy platform and its components.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for observing and monitoring system performance continuously to ensure full resiliency. They will train and provide guidance on site-specific intricacies and overall platform best practices.
The candidate will partner with service and applications teams to ensure the platform has a compatible roadmap for the future.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all production systems run smoothly across 105 globally distributed manufacturing sites.
- Apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environments and the P&G codebase.
- Specialize in systems (operating systems, storage subsystems, networking), while implementing best practices for availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement, configure, and maintain the Proficy platform and its components.
- Observe and monitor system performance continuously to ensure full resiliency.
- Train and provide guidance on site-specific intricacies and overall platform best practices.
- Partner with service and applications teams to ensure the platform has a compatible roadmap for the future.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Services Platforms based on Proficy and associated Application Components.
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience designing and developing integrated solutions across the Manufacturing OT and IT landscape.
- Experience defining technical platform requirements and defining solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in configuring Proficy Plant Applications and Proficy Historian solutions.
- Mastery at installing and maintaining REST API environments with large (100+) Docker Containers.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with technical, administrative, and support resources to resolve incidents and provide solutions to GE for Proficy issues/defects.
- Proficiency in both Windows and Linux based operating systems.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this role is $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
