We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Care team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care and meet their individual needs.
- Collaborate with our surgical team to coordinate patient care, including communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in surgical care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin or compact state required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience in surgical nursing, preferably in an intermediate care setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
