About the Role:

Poteau Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with students to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support.
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech and language therapy, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  • ASHA certification or Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
  • Experience working with students with speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
