Position Overview
This role is within the Child and Youth Services Child Development Center. It is a Regular Full-Time position, eligible for leave accrual and benefits. Candidates are encouraged to provide relevant transcripts to support their qualifications for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a minimum of 8 children aged 0-5 in a Child Development Center or 6 children/youth in a School-Age Program.
- Actively engage in program activities for 50% of the time, ensuring proper breaks for staff, modeling appropriate behavior, and overseeing program operations.
- Assist the Director with recruitment requests in accordance with Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions.
- Evaluate staff performance based on established standards and ensure timely submission of personnel actions.
- Prepare work schedules to meet required ratios and group sizes, while monitoring staffing adequacy.
- Ensure constant supervision of children/youth during all program hours.
- Assume Director responsibilities in their absence up to 20% of the time.
- Provide management oversight for additional CYS facilities as needed.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following:
1. Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher with a focus on child development, early childhood education, or related fields.
2. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in a relevant subject, along with appropriate experience or additional coursework.

Additionally, candidates must possess:
- Experience supervising caregivers in child/youth facility-based programs.
- Experience managing classroom settings within child and youth programs.
- Experience in implementing and overseeing structured child and youth program curricula.
- Strong verbal communication skills demonstrated through training, presentations, or meetings.

Education Verification
