Job Title: Echo Technologist

Sigma Healthcare Team is seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to join our team in Milford, DE.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Echo Technologist to perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with a high level of skill and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in echocardiography and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiogram studies, including transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, color-flow Doppler, transesophageal, exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography.
  • Accurately perform other cardiac diagnostic studies, including EKG, Holter prep, monitoring, and analysis, and cardiac stress tests.
  • Utilize mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians.
  • Assess hospital information systems for scheduling, processing, and correct charging of all studies.
  • Implement infection control practices and demonstrate a working knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
  • Interact with students from contracted colleges and universities, providing preceptorship and clinical guidance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform cardiac diagnostic tests following age-specific guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Credential: Basic Life Support
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Successful completion of certification program and/or two years hands-on experience with echocardiography
  • Extensive experience in echocardiography studies in a hospital setting
