Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Family Support Worker. In this role, you will provide direct supervision of a group of diverse children, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. You will also implement program activities that are age and developmentally appropriate, consistent with our core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a group of children to ensure their health, safety, and well-being
  • Implement program activities that are age and developmentally appropriate
  • Adhere to program standards, including safety and cleanliness standards
  • Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies
  • Professionally engage with parents/guardians to provide pertinent information about their child's experience and to promote upcoming programs
Requirements
  • Minimum age 16
  • Plan and initiate culturally relevant and age-appropriate games and activities
  • Fluency in a second language desired
