Job Title: Assistant Landscape Designer

McHale Landscape Design, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Landscape Designer to join our team. As an Assistant Landscape Designer, you will play a key role in the design process and implementation of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site analysis, including field measurements, plant identification, and the use of a laser level to record elevations.
  • Prepare base maps, designs, as-builts, and construction details, including master plans and perspectives.
  • Take photographs of sites and create 3D models using Sketch-up, Lumion, and PowerPoint.
  • Develop landscape and construction plans for field use using Vectorworks or CAD-based software.
  • Perform take-offs of plans, prepare cost estimates, and develop Budget Cost Analysis for various projects.
  • Collaborate with partnered professionals and assist in the permit process.
  • Correspond with clients during the design and installation process.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and manage subcontractor agreements for assigned projects.
  • Participate in design presentations and sales meetings with clients.
Requirements:
  • Landscape industry Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of experience within the landscape industry.
  • Residential landscape experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are detail-oriented with time management and organizational skills.
