We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a same-day surgery setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the provision of nursing care to patients in a same-day surgery setting, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Assume total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and center policies.
- Monitor and control the use of and charging for supplies utilized in the center.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for post-operative patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to stress and pressure. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a calm and composed demeanor, even in challenging situations.
